The lives of dog owners are not the same as those who do without them. Dog owners are in constant presence of someone who loves them unconditionally, no matter what but at the same time, are responsible for their well-being. Pet owners also have the additional responsibility to ensure that their dogs don’t cause any trouble for neighbors. Your work increases if you are looking for a rented apartment because many landlords do not allow pets. The first step towards ensuring a healthy habitat for dogs is finding a place where they are not only “allowed”, but are welcomed.
Thankfully, when we talk about Lake Jackson or San Angelo, there are numerous pet-friendly apartments, but renting one doesn’t mark the end of your responsibilities as a pet owner. Personal Injury laws are really stringent, if your dog goes out of control and winds up biting someone, it may leave you with a very hefty fine and possibly separate you from your dog too. Simple things like going for a walk may get complicated if you are staying in a rented apartment. Here are 5 things you need to take care of when you have a dog and reside in a rented apartment. Walk Them Daily Dogs, especially young ones may get very cranky when they are confined into a limited space. It’s always advisable to take them to parks, casual walks, and occasionally, if possible, on a road trip. When you take them out for a walk, give them a chance to do more than just ‘growing a tail’. Let them sniff trees, roll around in the grass and indulge in a little game. Give Them Their Share of “Time” You mean more than anything to your dog and it wants nothing more than spending an evening in the sun with you. As soon as you move to your new apartment, get to work and start identifying green spaces where pets are allowed and human traffic is limited, and take your dog there, often. Practice the Short Leash Rule It’s important to have control over the dog, for the sake of keeping a check on his behavior and to ensure that he doesn’t intrude into others’ space. Whenever you take him out, within the apartment building, ensure that you put a leash around him, and of course, mend the other duties of a good pet-owner such as dispose its litter appropriately and ensure that it doesn’t bark too much. Respect Other Dog Owners’ Walking Schedules If there are a lot of dog owners in your apartment and there is limited walking space, it is better to plan a walking schedule for your dog. Other dog-owners also need to use the walking track during certain times of the day, and so you need to schedule your own dog’s walking schedule accordingly. If necessary, map out a schedule with other residents. Respect the Landlord’s Pet Policies Your landlord or property managers, in all likelihood have certain pet policies, they’d expect you to follow. The pet policies are largely formulated to keep your dogs under control at all times, take full responsibility of your dog and avoid leaving him alone too long. If you ever feel like you’re not up to the task, find a different place for you and your pet. for more view at -> http://www.kingtonproperties.com/communities/lake-jackson/
